This week, our Steel United athletes will be working on our in-possession principle of play: breaking lines.

In soccer, breaking lines is an offensive tactic that aims to bypass the opposition's defensive lines with a pass or run. It's a crucial strategy for creating goal scoring opportunities and disrupting the other team's defensive structure. Breaking lines requires a high level of our core value of the week — Commitment — from both the passer and the runner. The passer needs to have good vision, technique, and timing to execute the pass accurately. The runner needs to be aware of their positioning, make intelligent runs, and have the pace and agility to exploit the space created.

By effectively utilizing line-breaking tactics, teams can create more scoring chances, control the flow of the game, and ultimately achieve success on the field. #NationalCurriculum #Commitment @steelutdsoccer
